ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A locking device for slidable patio doors is disclosed consisting of a hollow first bar and a second bar telescopically and slidingly engaged ln the first bar. The rear end of the first bar is pivotally connected to the adjacent jamb of the rear door. The forward end of the second bar is provided with a pin adapted to lock into the jamb member of the forward patio door. A lock is mounted on the first bar and operates a bolt which operatively locks the first bar to the second bar. A catch is provided to retain the device in inoperative unlocked position.
