When performing a final function check of analysis devices (1), such as a blood sugar measuring device, which are completely assembled for delivery, the problem exists that they may not be opened without destruction in case of a require repair. To solve this problem, a lock element (11) is suggested, which is functionally used exclusively for locking the analysis device (1) and is only fitted after the final check of the analysis device. The lock element (11) is preferably incorporated into the design of the housing (2), so that its lock function is not recognizable as such.
