Abstract of the Disclosure An optical disk player is disclosed which comprises a lock mechanism for preventing a support member mounted on a main support member via a vibration absorbing mechanism from moving relative to the main support member. Thus, during a loading or unloading operation of a disk onto or from a disk table or during relative movement of an optical pickup to a disk loaded for accessing to the disk, the support member is fixed to the main support member by means of the lock mechanism. Accordingly, a loading or unloading operation of a disk onto or from a disk table and an accessing operation of an optical pickup to a disk can be effected in a stabilized condition.
