A cylinder lock (10) comprises a shell (14), a core (12), and a plurality of pin tumbler stacks (22, 24). The core includes an outer surface, a keyway and a cut-out offset from, but alignable with, at least one of the tumbler stacks. A plate (34) disposed on the cut-out is movable between a first position, wherein the plate acts as an extension of the core surface to prevent a tumbler stack from entering the cut-out, and a second position, wherein the plate does not prevent a tumbler stack from entering the cut-out. Upon insertion of an authorized key (46) having a projection (58) extending from a side thereof, the projection urges the plate from the second position to the first position to permit the core to rotate to an unlocked position. Upon the insertion of a properly bitted key, but without the projection, only partial rotation is permitted whereupon the tumbler stack enters the cut-out to thereby render the lock inoperable and trap the unauthorized key within the keyway.
La présente invention concerne une serrure à cylindre (10) comportant un cylindre (14), un coeur (12) et une pluralité de piles de gorges à levier (22, 24). Le coeur comporte une surface extérieure, un trou de serrure, et un logement décalé par rapport à l'une au moins des piles de gorges à levier, mais pouvant s'aligner par rapport à elle. Une platine (34) disposée dans le logement est mobile entre une première position et une seconde position. Dans la première position, la platine se comporte comme un prolongement de la surface du logement, empêchant une pile de gorges à levier de pénétrer dans le logement. Dans la seconde position, la platine n'empêche pas une pile de gorges à levier de pénétrer dans le logement. Lorsqu'on introduit une clé autorisée (46) équipée d'un saillant (58) prenant naissance sur l'un des côtés de la clé, ce saillant pousse la platine de la seconde position à la première position ce qui permet la rotation du coeur en position non verrouillée. Lorsqu'on introduit une clé à de panneton conforme, mais dépourvue du saillant, la rotation est incomplète. Il en résulte que les piles de gorges à levier pénètrent dans le logement, ce qui rend la serrure inopérante et piège dans le trou de serrure la clé non autorisée.
