LOCKABLE CONTAINER ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention relates to a container comprising first and second container members which may be hingedly and lockably coupled together. The container members together form a normally closed clamshell-like compartment for housing sterile gloves and the like for use by police officers, ambulance attendants and other individuals likely to come into contact with contaminated blood or fluids. The container includes a rigid tear member for irreversibly opening the container. The tear member severs a latch formed on the first container member from a mating latch aperture formed on the second container member.
