The present invention provides a lockable vehicle seat back adjustment lever for moving a vehicle seat back between a forward and a back position comprising a vehicle seat having independently movable seat back and seat cushion portions and having an adjustment lever movable between a first position for maintaining a vehicle seat back in one position and a second position for allowing a seat back to be movable between a forward and a backward position, and locking means selectively actuatable for maintaining said seat back in a forward position.
