LOCKING AND DRIVE MECHANISM FOR MAGNETIC TAPE CARTRIDGE Abstract of the Disclosure Positioning a magnetic tape cartridge with respect to a stationary capstan drive is achieved with great accuracy in this invention by simple overcenter loading cams which bias the cartridge horizontally against the capstan drive, as well as vertically against reference surfaces. The cartridge is thus reliably positioned with precision in the tape recorder.
