ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An elongate leaf is connected to a first member, e.g. a door, window, or drawer, along substantially the whole of one longitudinal edge portion, the other longitudinal edge portion being pivotable through an acute angle between an unlocking position and a locking position in which the edge portion is capable of engaging an elongate step. The leaf is preferably pivoted by a bolt connected to it.
