ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A locking device for securing a straddle-type adapter to the lip of an excavator wherein the C-clamp and wedge have cooperating arcuate surfaces and are bolted together whereby tightening the bolt moves the wedge on the arcuate surface of the C-clamp to tighten the fit of the adapter on the lip.
