A locking device is provided for pivotally connecting a closure to a support and locking the closure in an open position relative to the support. The locking device is locked in an open position by a first ratchet member attached to the closure and a second ratchet member attached to the support, the ratchet members being biased into engagement by at least one spring. A mechanism is provided to disengage the ratchet members and to hold the first and second ratchet members in a disengaged position so that the closure may be pivoted to a closed position.

Cette invention concerne un dispositif de verrouillage destiné à raccorder une fermeture articulée à un support et à la bloquer en position ouverte par rapport à celui-ci. Le blocage en position ouverte se fait au moyen d'une première roue à rochet fixée à la fermeture et d'une seconde roue à rochet fixée au support, les deux roues étant poussées l'une vers l'autre par au moins un ressort. L'invention prévoit un mécanisme de séparation des roues à rochet et de maintien en position séparée pour permettre à la fermeture d'être rabattue en position fermée.
