Abstract of the Disclosure A locking gun rack for vehicle mounting includes a slidable member for holding a latch member in locking position and a bolt lock for holding the slidable member in locked position and also includes slots for receiving the square shank of a carriage bolt which is threaded into a stationary member. The slot prevents rotation of the carriage bolt in the rack locked position and permits rotation of the carriage bolt in the rack unlocked condi- tion. The latch member has a tongue extending through a slot in the slidable member and a lug engageable behind the slot in the locked condition.
