A locking mechanism (10) comprising a housing (16) and a shackle (14) having a first side (44) and a second side (46). The shackle (14) is slidable between a primary closed position in which the first and second sides (44 and 46) are each en-gaged with the housing (16) and a primary open position in which the first side (44) is engaged with the housing (16) and the sec-ond side (46) is free from the housing (16). A port (65) is provided in the housing (16) exposing a portion of the first side (44) of the shackle (14) in the primary closed position. Severing the shackle (14) through the port (65) allows the shackle (14) to move from the primary open position to a secondary open position, from which the shackle (14) can move back to a secondary closed position.
L'invention concerne un mécanisme (10) de verrouillage comportant un boîtier (16) et une manille (14) comprenant un premier côté (44) et un deuxième côté (46). La manille (14) peut coulisser entre une position fermée primaire dans laquelle chacun des premier et deuxième côtés (44 et 46) interagit avec le boîtier (16) et une position ouverte primaire dans laquelle le premier côté (44) interagit avec le boîtier (16) tandis que le deuxième côté (46) est libéré du boîtier (16). Un évidement (65) ménagé dans le boîtier (16) découvre une partie du premier côté (44) de la manille (14) dans la position fermée primaire. Le fait de sectionner la manille (14) à travers l'évidement (65) permet de faire passer la manille (14) de la position ouverte primaire à une position ouverte secondaire, à partir de laquelle la manille (14) peut revenir à une position fermée secondaire.
