ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A locking nut for a bicycle axle includes a cylindrical nut having a threaded bore and an end having a recessed portion, a casing rotatably receiving the nut, and a key having an offset protruding portion matched to the recessed portion. The casing extends beyond the nut. Upon rotation of the key when the key is mated to the nut, the nut is rotated. The key is prevented from rotating about the protruding portion by the extension of the casing.
