ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An improved actuator means for moving by hydraulic fluid the locking pin of a tilt cab locking means to the released pos- ition against the biasing force of spring means that normally bias the locking pin toward a transversely-entered locked position re- lative to a blade and a blade housing member respectively se- cured to the vehicle chassis and to the tilt cab, comprises a uni- tary housing having an outer tubular position secured at one end to a rigid leg of the blade housing about the locking opening, a first transverse wall closing the other end of the outer tubular portion and containing a first opening, an inner cylinder por- tion coaxially arranged within the outer tubular portion and se- cured at one end with said first transverse wall about said first opening, and a second transverse wall closing the other end of the inner cylinder portion. A fluid-operated piston in the cyl- inder portion is secured to a locking rod that extends through a second opening contained in the second transverse wall, the end of the locking rod comprising the locking pin. Fluid is admitted via a passage coaxially of the locking rod, entering through a rod-shaped end projecting beyond the hous- ing and via a port opening into the cylinder between the piston and the second transverse wall, driving the piston in the direc- tion to withdraw the locking pin.
