The present invention is directed to a locking slide block for slidably and pivotably mounting a window sash to a side member of a window frame having a vertical jamb channel. The locking slide block has a housing with oppositely disposed sliding surfaces for guiding the housing in the jamb channel. Operably connected to the housing is a locking means for selectively engaging the jamb channel and locking the housing in a fixed position, and a cam for selectively operating the locking means. A sash pivot operatively connected to the cam is operably connectable to the sash. The housing also has a sash pivot retainer spring. A retaining means is utilized to protect a free second end of the retainer spring from bowing and deforming due to forces applied to the window sash in operation.

La présente invention vise un bloc coulissant à blocage permettant de monter un châssis à l'élément latéral d'un cadre de fenêtre comportant un montant vertical profilé en U. Le bloc coulissant à blocage comporte un logement à surfaces de coulissement opposées, pour le guidage du logement dans la rainure du montant vertical. Sont reliés de façon fonctionnelle au logement un moyen de blocage, qui peut être introduit dans la rainure pour bloquer le logement dans une position, et une came permettant de mettre en oeuvre le moyen de blocage. Un pivot de châssis relié à la came est raccordable au châssis. Le logement comporte également un ressort de retenue du pivot de châssis. Un moyen de retenue est utilisé pour empêcher l'autre extrémité libre du ressort de retenue de se courber et se déformer sous l'effet des forces appliquées au châssis lors de son ouverture ou de sa fermeture.
