A syringe (10) and method for use which may be selectively operated between a freely reciprocating position and a restricted position. A triggering means (22) configured with a trigger (50) attached to the plunger (14) of the syringe is employed. The triggering means (72) includes threads (56) located external of the plunger (14) and corresponding threads (38) internal of the barrel (12) of the syringe (10). Upon actuation of the trigger (50), the threads (56) on the plunger (14) are retracted from their position of engagement with the threads (38) on the barrel (12), thereby placing the syringe (10) in position for free sliding movement of the plunger (14) with respect to the barrel (12). In the restricted position, the plunger (14) may be screwed into or out of the barrel (12) by rotating the plunger (14), enabling the operator of the syringe to maintain strict control over the amount of pressure in the syringe.

L'invention porte sur une seringue (10) et sa méthode d'utilisation.
