A mounting structure (18) moveable along a conveyer system has a locking device comprising a receiving member (10) with a recess to accommodate holding part (12) of a workpiece, and a locking member (28) pivotable to open or close said recess and bearing an actuating roller (44). A safety bar (50) adapted to block the locking member in its open or closed position is moveable in parallel to the pivotal plane of the locking member and bears an actuating roller (54), said both rollers (44, 54) being controlled by cams disposed along the conveying path of the mounting structure (18).
