LOG-CUTTING MILL Abstract A log-cutting mill comprising mounted on a horizont- al table at least one milling assembly incorporating carri- ages provided with cutter heads, at least one of the carri- ages being adapted to displace along the runners of the work table and provided with a remote-controlled hydraulic stop means, a log feed means having at least one lift roll- er, and a control system of a drive means for effecting the readjustment the working positions of the movable car- riages and lift rollers according to the diameter of the logs being milled; said log-cutting mill features an im- provement residing in that each movable carriage is pro- vided with an adjustment means for displacing the cutter heads in a plane essentially perpendicular to the path of log feed, while the hydraulic stop means is in the form of at least one fixedly secured to the runners of the table hydraulic cylinder the piston rod of which is adapted to cooperate with the carriage through an adjust- able pusher element. : The invention can find application in wood-working process lines for cutting logs into finished lumber.
