ABSTRACT of the DISCLOSURE The present invention is comprised of a cast steel clasp for use in connecting log boom chains and cables. The clasp comprises a pivotal hinge-type pin which is press-fitted within two raised hinge bosses and to which is rotatably fitted a jaw- like hook casting. Said castings are machined at their opening ends to transversely receive a lock pin or nail for securing chains or wire rope cables within the clasp or to permit quick disconnection or release of said cable or chains. -1-
