ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A long-term electrode for electrolytic processes comprises a metallic substrate of a metal passive under the conditions of the electrolytic process and an electrically conductive first coating of a titanium oxide of the for- mula TiOy (1.999?y?0.1) which has been produced on he surface of the metal- lic substrate by flame or plasma spraying and covers at least part of the metal substrate and a second coating containing a platinum group metal or platinum group metal compound.
