ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A longitudinally divided sleeve for light waveguide cables that accommodates light waveguides of lengths excess including a flexible foil and of supporting members arranged inside the foil and folded to form the sleeve. The excess light waveguide lengths can be secured either in formed cut-outs of the supporting members or in separate splice cassettes.
