An expandable stent comprises multiple enclosed flexible spaces. Each includes a first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, and tenth members having first and second ends. The first ends of the first and second members, the third and fourth members, the sixth and seventh members and the eighth and ninth members communicate. The second ends of the second and third members, the fifth and sixth members, the seventh and eighth members and the ninth and tenth members communicate. The first end of the fifth member communicates with the second end of the first member. The first end of the tenth member communicates with the second end of the fourth member. The first and second members, the third and fourth members, the fifth and sixth members, the seventh and eighth members and the ninth and tenth members have curved portions at their ends forming loops.
