A loop material suitable for use with a hook-and-loop fastening system, wherein the loop material includes a first fibrous nonwoven web having a first surface and a second suface and includes carded sheath-core bicomponent staple fibers in which the fibers have a sheath-core melting point differential of at least about 20 °C and a length of from about mm to about 65 mm. The first fibrous nonwoven web has a thickness of at least about 0.15 mm and a basis weight of at least about 20 grams per square meter; a pattern on the first surface thereof of continuous bonded areas defining a plurality of discrete unbonded areas formed by the application of heat and pressure, wherein individual fibers within the discrete unbonded areas have at least a portion thereof extending into and bonded within the continuous bonded areas; and a percent bonded area of from about 20 to about 50 percent. If desired, a film layer may be bonded to the second surface of the first fibrous nonwoven web. Alternatively, a second fibrous nonwoven web may be bonded or laminated to the second surface of the first fibrous nonwoven web. The loop material is particularly suitable for the preparation of a releasably attachable abrasive sheet material.
L'invention concerne un matériau à bouclettes qui s'utilise avec un système de fermeture par contact. Le matériau à bouclettes inclut un premier lé de textile non tissé en fibres présentant une première surface et une deuxième surface, des fibres discontinues cardées à biocomposants coaxiaux dans lesquelles les fibres présentent un différentiel des points de fusion des biocomposants coaxiaux d'au moins environ 20 DEG C et une longueur comprise entre environ 10 et 65 mm. Ce premier lé de textile non tissé en fibres a une épaisseur d'au moins 0,15 mm et une masse surfacique d'au moins environ 20 grammes par mètre carré; il comprend aussi, sur la première surface du lé, un motif présentant des zones continues fixées délimitant une pluralité de zones discrètes non fixées formées par application de chaleur et de pression, au moins une partie des fibres individuelles situées à l'intérieur des zones discrètes non fixées s'étendant dans les zones continues fixées où elles sont fixées; il comprend en outre une zone dont le pourcentage de liaison est compris entre environ 20 et 50 pour cent. Au besoin, une couche en film peut être fixée sur la deuxième surface du premier lé de textile non tissé en fibres. Dans une forme de réalisation substitutive, un deuxième lé de textile non tissé en fibres peut être fixé ou contre-collé sur la deuxième surface du premier lé de textile non tissé en fibres. Le matériau à bouclettes convient particulièrement pour la préparation d'un matériau en feuille abrasif amovible.
