Abstract of the Disclosure A device is disclosed for removably uniting a cover with a sheaf of pages provided with through holes. A stem passed through one of the through holes in the sheaf has an end projecting from the sheaf and bent over a first connecting means which, together with the stem end can be accommodated by a second connecting means on the inside of the cover. The second means extends like a bar or rail along the spine edge of the cover for orientation to an edge portion of the cover disposed in the main plane of the cover, so that the first connecting means receives the stem end without it first passing through any part of the cover. The first connecting means has minor extension in relation to the second connecting means, seen in its longitudinal direction, and each stem end requiring an adjustable distance to another such stem end for adapting to the pertinent hole pitch in the sheaf has its separate first connecting means so adapted that the first connecting means with associated stems can be accommodated at optional spacing along the second connecting means.
