The present invention discloses a lotion applicator device comprising a single, continuous, tear-resistant piece of absorbent material for applying lotion to a user's body, particularly areas that are difficult for the user to reach. The lotion applicator device is washable, reusable and optionally disposable after a number of uses. The lotion applicator device may be used in combination with an air-tight, water- impermeable container for preventing spoilage of lotion absorbed in the lotion applicator device. The container also permits the lotion applicator device to be portable.
