Provided is a low alloy steel for high-pressure hydrogen gas environments, which contains, by mass percent, C: 0.15 to 0.60%, Si: 0.05 to 0.5%, Mn: 0.05 to 3.0%, P: not more than 0.025%, S: not more than 0.010%, Al: 0.005 to 0.10%, Mo: 0.5 to 3.0%, V. 0.05 to 0.30%, O(oxygen): not more than 0.01%, N: not more than 0.03%, and the balance Fe and impurities, and has tensile strength of not less than 900 MPa. This low alloy steel desirably contains B of 0.0003 to 0.003%, but in this case, N is limited to not more than 0.010%. It is desirable to contain at least one among Cr, Nb, Ti, Zr, and Ca. The contents of Mo and V desirably satisfy the following formula (1): [Mo(%)].cndot.[V(%)]0.2>=0.32 (1).

L'invention porte sur un acier faiblement allié pour un environnement d'hydrogène gazeux à pression élevée qui comprend les composants suivants (en masse) : C : 0,15-0,60 %, Si : 0,05-0,5 %, Mn : 0,05-3,0 %, P : 0,025 % ou moins, S : 0,010 % ou moins, Al : 0,005-0,10 %, Mo : 0,5-3,0 %, V : 0,05-0,30 %, O (oxygène) : 0,01 % ou moins et N : 0,03 % ou moins, le reste étant constitué par Fe et les impuretés inévitables, et qui a une résistance à la traction de 900 MPa ou plus. Il est souhaitable que l'acier faiblement allié contienne B dans une quantité de 0,0003-0,003 %. Dans ce cas, la teneur en N est limitée à 0,010 % ou moins. Il est également souhaitable que l'acier faiblement allié contienne en outre au moins un élément choisi parmi Cr, Nb, Ti, Zr et Ca. Il est souhaitable que les teneurs de Mo et de V satisfassent l'exigence représentée par la formule (1). [Mo(%)] [V(%)]0.2 = 0.32 (1).
