PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION: L'invention concerne un azéotrope à point d'ébullition minimum, utilisable comme fluide frigorigène en remplacement des chlorofluorocarbures ou comme agent extincteur en remplacement des bromofluorocarbures et chlorobromofluorocarbures. Cet azéotrope est un mélange de 1,1,1,2-tétrafluoroéthane et de perfluoropropane. Au point d'ébullition normale (environ -41,1°C sous 1,013 bar), sa teneur en perfluoropropane est d'environ 76% en masse et celle de 1,1,1,2-tétrafluoroéthane de 24%. Cet azéotrope peut également être utilisé comme propulseur d'aérosols ou comme agent d'expansion des mousses plastiques.
