ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A reciprocating piston internal combustion engine having an inlet air manifold, an exhaust manifold and an injection pump which is adapted to be connected for lubrication to the lubricating oil system of the engine and which delivers a low boiling point fuel, comprises a vapourizing device, the inlet end of which is adapted to be connected to the lubricating oil return line of the injection pump, while the outlet end thereof is adapted to be connected to the lubricating oil system of the reciprocating piston internal combustion engine and to the inlet manifold. The purpose of the vapourizing device is to remove low boiling point fuel components from the lubricating oil, contaminated as a result of unavoidable leakage within the said injection pump.
