Abstract of the Disclosure Disclosed is a method of forming a low density fibrous composition that has utility as an insulation material. The method comprises first forming an aqueous mixture comprising fibers, an anionic detergent and a cationic guar gum derivative. Borax is then added to the mixture to thereby form a precipitate wherein the guar gum is deposited on the fibers. The precipitate is dried to form the low density fibrous composition.
