A ceramic slip made using a polymeric binder formulation which providesreduced foaming of the ceramic slip is described. The polymeric binder provided according to this invention is formulated with an anionic surfactant. It has been found that the use of a polymeric binder formulation containing an anionic surfactant results in lower foaming than with conventional binder formulations. Reduced foaming in the slip results in ceramic parts having fewer defects than parts formed from ceramic slips made with conventional binders.
