FN 914,644 LOW FRICTION, ABRASION RESISTANT COATING FOR TRANSPARENT FILM Abstract of the Disclosure The use of abrasion resistant coatings on imaged transparent film which is carried by apparatus, such as motion picture film, causes frictional drag in the apparatus which in turn causes flickering of the images. Conventional methods of reducing motion picture friction problems, coating with wax, do not work on the abrasion resistant coating. The inclusion of particulate filler and/or oligomeric additives reduces the friction without mottling or reducing abrasion resistance significantly.
