Novel manufactures are provided having surfaces which upon contact with water promptly provide for high and permanent lubricity. The surfaces involve a carboxylic acid functionality which at least in part is present as an ester and/or amide and/or salt. Various polymers are used with a wide variety of solid polymeric carriers. The surfaces may be achieved by applying a solution onto the carrier and then heating, by coextrusion of the coating and the carrier or by contacting the carrier with the polymer.

L'invention concerne de nouveaux produits fabriqués comportant des surfaces qui, une fois mises en contact avec de l'eau, acquiert rapidement un pouvoir lubrifiant élevé et permanent. Ces surfaces présentent une fonction acide carboxylique qui est présente au moins partiellement sous forme d'un ester et/ou d'un amide et/ou d'un sel. Divers polymères sont utilisés avec une large variété de supports polymères solides. On peut obtenir ces surfaces soit en appliquant une solution sur le support puis en chauffant, soit par coextrusion du revêtement et du support, soit en mettant le support en contact avec le polymère.
