The present disclosure is related to compositions useful in the field of foods and beverages. In particular, the present invention relates to those compositions that reduce the postprandial rise in blood glucose (described as low Glycemic Index) that synergistically provide enhanced metabolism in the mammalian system and inhibit the storage of systemic fat. In particular, the present invention relates to compositions comprising: a) one or more flavanols; b) one or more bracers; and c) vitamin B; wherein the composition exhibits a Glycemic Index of about 55 or less. As disclosed, the unique combination of ingredients, which provide the defined, low Glycemic Index, work synergistically together to enhance perception of energy and / or improve physiological energy via metabolism enhancement over a long duration of time, without resulting in sudden peaks of glucose in the mammalian system. Thus, the present compositions effectively modulate glucose in the system, thereby providing energy to the system without resulting in the storage of systemic fat.
L'invention concerne des compositions qui sont utiles dans le domaine de l'alimentation et des boissons et en particulier des compositions qui réduisent l'élévation postprandiale de glucose sanguin (ou à faible indice glycémique) qui provoquent en synergie une augmentation du métabolisme dans l'organisme mammifère et inhibent le stockage des graisses dans l'organisme. L'invention concerne en particulier des compositions comprenant : a) un ou plusieurs flavanols, b) un ou plusieurs stimulants, et c) de la vitamine B. Cette composition présente un indice glycémique égal ou inférieur à environ 55. Cette combinaison unique d'ingrédients qui produit ce faible indice glycémique, agit de manière synergique pour accroître la perception d'énergie et/ou améliorer l'énergie physiologique à travers une activation prolongée du métabolisme, sans provoquer de pics de glucose dans le l'organisme mammifère. Ces compositions modulent par conséquent avec efficacité le taux de glucose dans l'organisme de manière à approvisionner le système en énergie sans entraîner stockage de graisse systémique. .
