The low-loss coaxial cable comprises a central support core in plastic material, covered by a metal forming the interior conductor of the coaxial cable (1), an intermediate insulator made of a dielectric material, and an exterior metallic conductor. The cable is characterized in that the central core is of polytetrafluoroethylene of a density equal to or greater than 1.6, the intermediate insulator has a density less than 1.2, and the ratio between the density of the dielectric comprising the intermediate insulator and the density of the PTFE making up the core is between 0.15 and 0.75.

Le câble coaxial à faibles pertes comprend un jonc central de soutien en matière plastique, recouvert d'un métal formant le conducteur intérieur du câble coaxial (1), un isolant intermédiaire en un matériau diélectrique et un conducteur extérieur métallique. Le câble est caractérisé en ce que le jonc central est en polytétrafluoroéthylène de densité supérieure ou égale à 1,6, l'isolant intermédiaire a une densité inférieure à 1,2 et le rapport entre la densité du diélectrique constituant l'isolant intermédiaire et la densité du PTFE constituant le jonc reste compris entre 0,15 et 0,75.
