LOW INDUCTANCE WOUND CAPACITOR Abstract of the Disclosure A wound extended-foil aluminum electrolytic capacitor has a lateral edge of one foil extending from one edge of the section and a lateral edge of the other foil from the other section edge. These extended foils are deformed in such a way that the foil extensions are stretched and a metallurgical bond is formed between adjacent extensions. The deformation may be accomplished by frictionally cutting the foil extensions, e.g. as by using a diamond saw.
