ABSTRACT FOR DISCLOSURE LOW MISTING SPRAYABLE DISPERSION OF COLLOIDAL SILICA WITH XANTHAN GUM An improved silica compound containing a non-skid composition adapted to be applied to surfaces of paper products, a paper product having adhered to a portion thereof such silica compound, and a method of decreasing the misting of such compound in sprayable form are each disclosed. The non- skid composition consists of an aqueous dispersion of colloidal silica, having xanthan gum added thereto for improved spraying and low misting.
