The present invention comprises growth hormone releasing peptides/peptidomimetics (GHRP) capable of causing release of growth hormone from the pituitary. Compositions containing the GHRP's of this invention are used to promote growth in mammals either alone or in combination with other growth promoting compounds, especially IGF-1. In a method of this invention GHRP's in combination with IGF-1 are used to treat Type II diabetes. An exemplary compound (1) of this invention is provided above.
Il s'agit de péptides ou d'éléments péptidomimétiques libérant de la somatotrophine, capables de sécréter des hormones de croissance au niveau pituitaire. Des solutions contenant ces peptides libérant la somatotrophine, qu'ils soient seuls ou en combinaison avec d'autres composés favorisant la croissance (notamment l'IGF-1), sont utilisées pour favoriser la croissance des mammifères. Ces mêmes peptides libérant la somatotrophine peuvent être combinés à l'IGF-1 pour traiter des diabètes juvéniles. Un composé (1) de cette invention est donné exemple ci-dessus en exemple.
