PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION: L'invention concerne des sulfates de xylanes ayant un degré de sulfatation moyen compris entre 1,5 et 2, un pourcentage en acides uroniques compris entre 0 et 10, un pourcentage en pentoses compris entre 30 et 40 et une masse moléculaire moyenne apparente comprise entre 2000 et 5000 Daltons. L'invention concerne également un procédé pour la fabrication de ces sulfates de xylanes, caractérisé en ce que l'on soumet à un fractionnement le polysulfate de xylane SP 54 et obtient le produit cherché que l'on isole. Les nouveaux sulfates de xylanes sont utiles en thérapeutique en tant qu'agents antithrombotique et hypolipémiant actifs par voie orale.
