ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: This invention relates to a process for deo- dorizing a polyoxypropylene group terminated polyoxyalkylene polyether polyol composition by removing allyloxypropan-2-ol in sufficient amount to reduce the content to less than 200 ppm. The resulting deodorized polyoxyalkylene polyether polyol composition can be used as a surfactant in the formulate of low foaming dishwasing detergent compositions. They can also be used in the formulation of cleaning products such as got home dishwashing, wearwashing, hard surface cleaning or other uses. In all cases, this deodorized composition eliminates or substantially reduces odor problems presently known with such formulations.
