3219 LOW SODIUM THERAPEUTIC SALT ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A therapeutic salt composition is prepared for use by persons desiring to restrict salt intake. The composition is a salt (NaCl) and malto-dextrin agglomerate having from about 25 to about 75 percent salt. Preparation is carried out by adding water to a dry blend of salt and malto-dextrin followed by agslomeration and drying Malto- dextrin having a dextrose equivalent value below about 20 is utilized. The composition tastes, handles and flows like table salt; yet contains a reduced sodium level. -16-
