The invention relates to ether alcohol-based surfactants having a reduced surface tension and use thereof as a surfactant in aqueous coating formulations. Said ether-alcohol can be produced by reacting at least one hydroxy compound according to formula (I) with at least one epoxide according to formula (II) and/or at least one epoxide according to formula (V) in essentially equivalent amounts of hydroxy and epoxide groups.
L'invention concerne des tensioactifs à base d'éther-alcools présentant une tension superficielle réduite, et leur utilisation en tant que tensioactif dans des formulations de revêtement aqueuses. Les éther-alcools peuvent être produits au moyen d'un procédé consistant à faire réagir au moins un composé hydroxy de formule (I) avec au moins un époxyde de formule (II), et/ou au moins un époxyde de formule (V), la quantité de groupes hydroxy et de groupes époxyde étant sensiblement équivalente.
