A non-caustic oven cleaner composition comprises from 1 % to 12 % monoethanolamine, from 2 % to 20 % diethylene glycol monobutyl ether and from 1 to 10 % of sodium or potassium carbonate. The composition, preferably in an aerosol formulation having from 2 % to 10 % propellent, is effective at ambient room temperatures. The preferred carbonate is potassium carbonate. Up to 60 % of the monoethanolamine can be replaced with an equivalent amount of diethanolamine.

Une composition sans substance caustique pour nettoyer les fours contient de 1 % à 12 % de monoéthanolamine, de 2 % à 20 % de diéthylène glycol monobutyle éther et de 1 à 10 % de carbonate de sodium ou de potassium. La composition est utilisée de préférence sous la forme d'un aérosol contenant de 2 % à 10 % de gaz propulseur et elle est efficace à température ambiante. Le carbonate préféré est le carbonate de potassium. On peut remplacer jusqu'à 60 % de la monoéthanolamine par une quantité équivalente de diéthanolamine.
