An electrical fixture, especially a light fixture has a housing containing a switch for switching the output on and off. The switch itself is triggered by a low voltage circuit activated by a remote switch, for example a door switch. The unit may be for lights that turn on whenever a door is opened. The fixture may include a timer for keeping a light on for a set period after it has been illuminated and a light responsive device for disabling the light circuit in conditions of high ambient light.
