The present invention provides an organoleptically pleasing lozenge containing an antitussive selected from the group consisting of dextromethorphan, diphenhydramine, caramiphen, carbapentane, ethylmorphine, noscapine, codeine, and mixtures thereof, complexed with an ion exchange resin wherein the particle size of the resin is 38 ~m or less in diameter. Also provided is a process for producing the lozenge and methods of administering the lozenge.

L'invention concerne une pastille agréable sur le plan organoleptique, contenant un antitussif sélectionné dans le groupe comprenant les composés dextrométhorphane, diphenhydramine, caramiphène, carbapentane, éthylmorphine, noscapine, codéine, et des mélanges de ces composés. Cet antitussif est complexé avec une résine d'échange ionique, la dimension du diamètre des particules de cette résine étant inférieure ou égale à 38 ?m. La présente invention se rapporte en outre à un procédé pour produire cette pastille, et à des procédés pour administrer ladite pastille.
