ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A storage stable lubricating composition with improved friction reducing properties is provided by a lubricating oil which includes an additive combination of (1) an ester of a polycarboxylic acid with a glycol or glycerol, (2) a zinc dihydrocarbyl dithiophosphate and (3) an ashless dis- persant containing a high molecular weight aliphatic hydro- carbon oil solubilizing group attached thereto and a selec- ted amount of free hydroxyl groups.
