A marine diesel engine lubricant composition having a TBN of at least 10 and preferably a VI of at least 90, comprises a major amount of oil of lubricating viscosity, and admixed therewith, minoramounts of an ashless antiwear additive and a metal detergent in the form of (i) an overbased metal detergent having a TBN of at least 300, preferably at least 330, more preferably at least 400, and comprising a surfactant system derived from at least two surfactants, and/or (ii) a metal detergent other than (i); provided that, if detergent (ii) is present, the composition does not contain a minor amount of an extreme pressure additive, being up to 5.0 mass % based on the total mass of the composition.
L'invention porte sur une composition lubrifiante pour moteur diesel marin ayant un indice de basicité totale d'au moins 10 et de préférence un indice de viscosité d'au moins 90. Cette composition comprend une importante quantité d'huile ayant une viscosité aux propriétés lubrifiantes, et mélangées à celle-ci, de petites quantités d'un additif antiusure sans cendre et d'un détergent de pièces métalliques se présentant sous la forme (i) d'un détergent à basicité élevée et dont l'indice de basicité totale est d'au moins 300, de préférence d'au moins 330, idéalement d'au moins 400, et comprenant un système tensioactif dérivé d'au moins deux tensioactifs, et/ou (ii) d'un détergent de pièces métalliques autre que (i); à condition que, si le détergent (ii) est présent, la composition n'est pas une quantité minime d'additif Extrême-Pression représentant jusqu'à 5,0 % de son volume total.
