Abstract D-13055 LUBRICANT COMPOSITIONS FOR FINISHING SYNTHETIC FIBERS Lubricant compositions for finishing synthetic fibers which exhibit improved thermal stability and low-fuming characteristics are provided which contain 50 to 90 percent by weight of a thermally stable lubricant and 10 to 50 percent by weight of an emulsifiably effective surfactant having the formula: R - 0 ?Aa Bb? H Wherein R is an alkyl having 6 to 14 carbon atoms, A is oxypropylene groups, B is oxyethylene groups, a is an integer having values of about 4 to 15, and b is an integer having values of 5 to 10.
