A lubricious composition suitable for medical devices that comprises a hydrophilic polymer, an isocyanate-terminated prepolymer, an alkylester of a carboxylic acid such as ethyl lactate and a solvent selected from tetrahydrofuran, dimethylformamide, methylene chloride, n-methyl pyrrolidone and cyclohexanone and mixtures thereof. The lubricious composition may optionally contain a pharmacological additive and/or a polymerized urethane. Also disclosed is a method of producing the lubricious composition and methods of coating a surface such as a medical device with the lubricious composition and the resulting coated medical devices.
L'invention concerne une composition lubrifiante destinée aux dispositifs médicaux et contenant un polymère hydrophile, un prépolymère terminé par un isocyanate, un alkylester d'un acide carboxylique tel qu'un lactate d'éthyle et un solvant sélectionné parmi les substances suivantes : tétrahydrofurane, diméthylformamide, chlorure de méthylène, n-méthyle pyrrolidone, cyclohexanone et leurs mélanges. Cette composition lubrifiante peut éventuellement contenir un additif pharmaceutique et/ou un uréthane polymérisé. L'invention concerne également un procédé de production de la composition lubrifiante et les procédés d'enduction d'une surface telle qu'un dispositif médical avec cette composition lubrifiante et les dispositifs médicaux enduits ainsi obtenus.
