The lubricant is constituted of four perfluorinated chains attached to a hydrogenated core in a symmetrical arrangement in such a manner as to form a tetracis derivative according to the formula Image The lubricant is often in a preferred form applied in addition to linear perfluoroparaffins of high melting points of the type C16 - C24 in such a manner that blends providing optimum gliding properties are obtained with melting points below 105°C.
