A lubricant retention assembly is employed with an electric motor to prevent the loss of lubricant from a self contained lubricant reservoir of the motor. The lubricant retention assembly includes a thrust collar (70) mounted on the motor shaft and a bearing cap (72) surrounding the thrust collar (70), where the thrust collar (70) has an annular flange (82) that throws lubricant leaking along the shaft radially outwardly toward the bearing cap (72). The bearing cap (72) has an angled interior(110) surface that deflects the lubricant thrown from the annular flange (82) of the thrust collar back into the motor interior and toward the lubricant reservoir. A thrust washer (76) is also provided on the shaft adjacent the thrust collar and prevents lubricant leakage along the shaft between the interface of the shaft and the thrust collar. The thrust washer (76) and thrust collar have complementary configurations that maintain the thrust washer in position on the shaft adjacent the thrust collar.
L'invention concerne un ensemble de rétention de lubrifiant utilisé avec un moteur électrique, destiné à empêcher la perte de lubrifiant depuis un réservoir de lubrifiant autonome du moteur. Cet ensemble de rétention de lubrifiant comprend une bague d'appui (70) montée sur l'arbre du moteur; et un chapeau de palier (72) entourant ladite bague d'appui (70), celle-ci présentant une bride annulaire (82) qui projette du lubrifiant qui coule le long de l'arbre radialement vers l'extérieur, en direction dudit chapeau de palier (72). Celui-ci (72) présente une surface intérieure (110) orientée qui fait dévier le lubrifiant projeté depuis la bride annulaire (82) de la bague d'appui, et le renvoie à l'intérieur du moteur et en direction du réservoir de lubrifiant. Un anneau de butée (76) est également fourni sur l'arbre adjacent à la bague d'appui et empêche une fuite de lubrifiant le long de l'arbre entre l'interface de l'arbre et de la bague d'appui. L'anneau de butée (76) et la bague d'appui possèdent des configurations complémentaires qui maintiennent ledit anneau de butée en place sur l'arbre adjacent à ladite bague d'appui.
